COMPUTER INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY -- MIDRANGE SPECIALISTEl Centro only (Associate in Applied Sciences Degree) (Students pursuing this AAS program are required to meet all TASP requirements.) Degree Plan Code: AAS.CIT.MIDRNG.03 This associate degree program is designed to provide training in iSeries 400 system administration as well as midrange programming using the RPG language. Skills and knowledge of networking and hardware and PC operating systems are also developed. Graduates will be qualified to enter the midrange environment as a junior RPG programmer. Course(s) may be substituted for ITSC 1401, BCIS 1405, or COSC 1401 for those who demonstrate current computer literacy.

+Humanities/Fine Arts elective must be selected from any 3-credit hour course contained in the DCCCD approved list for Humanities/Fine Arts. ++Social/Behavioral Science elective must be selected from the DCCCD approved course list. NOTE:  Students enrolling in this program who plan to transfer to a four-year institution should consult an advisor or counselor regarding transfer requirements and the transferability of these courses to the four-year institution of their choice. |
