SOCI 2373 Introduction to Mediation (3)

This course defines the process of mediation, its history and development, and examines theories of conflict resolution and negotiation. Explores the use of mediation in domestic, commercial, educational, and other settings. Within each of these contexts, laws, ethics, gender considerations, psychology, sociology, and cultural diversity will be explored. (3 Lec.)

SOCI 2389 Applied Sociology Practicum (3)

Prerequisite: None.
An instructional program designed to integrate on-campus study with practical field experience in sociology. In conjunction with class seminars, the individual student will set specific goals and objectives in the study of human social behavior, and/or social institutions, and in the practice of community service.
