MANAGEMENTOffered at all seven campuses (Associate in Applied Sciences Degree) (Students pursuing this AAS program are required to meet all TASP requirements.) Degree Plan Code: AAS.MANAGEMENT The Management Program provides an opportunity for students to acquire knowledge in the management field and at the same time update and sharpen personal management skills. In addition to learning about supervision, personnel management, human relations psychology, problem-solving, decision-making, and other related business topics, students also participate in on-the-job management-training course with their present employers. These management training courses at work allow students to apply what is learned in the classroom environment and obtain the valuable practical experience necessary to become competent business managers. The Management Program allows students the opportunity to bridge the gap between theory and practice as professional managers. This degree program provides an external learning experience and/or capstone experience.

+MATH - Students must select any 3 or 4 credit MATH course from DCCCD approval list. ++Elective - Natural Science elective must be at least 3 credit hours selected from Biology, Chemistry, Ecology, Geology or Physics. +++Elective - Humanities/Fine Arts elective must be selected from the following: Any Arts (except 1170), Cultural Studies 2370, Dance, Drama (except 1121), English 2321, 2322, 2323, 2326, 2327, 2328, 2331, 2332, 2333, 2342, or 2343, Spanish, French, German, Greek, Japanese, Latin, Portuguese, Humanities, Music (except 9176), Philosophy, Photography, Religion, and American Sign Language.++++Elective - students must take any 3 credit college level course to satisfy this elective. *Students may substitute ACNT 1303, Introduction to Accounting I and ACNT 1304, Introduction to Accounting II. Only three hours may be applied to the required number of hours for granting the degree. NOTE: Students enrolling in this program who plan to transfer to a four-year institution should consult an advisor or counselor regarding transfer requirements and the transferability of these courses to the four-year institution of their choice. |
