This certificate provides hands-on, in-depth training to meet industry demands and concerns in protecting critical information infrastructures against cyber threats. The graduate will be qualified for entry-level positions in a network environment dealing with security challenges.

1Course covers security concepts and terminology, in addition to secure communications and Operation System security. Prerequisite: Documented operating system experience and instructor approval.

2Course (Network Security) covers Perimeter Security (Firewalls, IDS, Router security) and Secure Network Architecture (DMZ, Remote Access, and Infrastructure Connectivity). Prerequisite: ITNW 1412 (Fundamentals of Network Security).

3Course (Operating Systems Security) covers cryptography, authentication, access control, operating system security and data backups. Prerequisite: ITNW 24172 (Network Security).

4Course (Subtitle: Securing Enterprise Applications) covers Application, Database, Web Application, and Web Server security and data backups. Prerequisite: ITNW 24763 (Operating Systems Security).

5Course (Security Assessments and Auditing) includes perimeter auditing, Operating System audits, and aditing tools. Prerequisite: ITNW 24464 (Designing a Secure Network).

6Course (Incident Response and Handling) covers system forensics, investigation, incident response, and hacker techniques and exploits. Prerequisite: ITNW 24775 (Security Assessments and Auditing).

7Course (Subtitle: Security Management Practices) covers cyber law and ethics, policies and procedures, risk management, and disaster recover and business continuity planning. Prerequisite: ITNW 24786 (Incident Response and Handling).
