BUSINESS ADMINISTRATIONOffered at all seven campuses (Associate in Applied Sciences Degree) (Students pursuing this AAS program are required to meet all TASP requirements.) Degree Plan Code: AAS.BUSI.ADMIN The Associate in Applied Sciences Degree in Business Administration is designed for students seeking a broad program of study in all phases of business practices. This degree focuses not only at the core of management (principles of management, organizational behavior, and personnel administration) but also encompasses the critical areas of business operations (principles of marketing, accounting, and business law).

+MATH - Students must select any 3 or 4 credit MATH course from DCCCD approval list. ++Elective - Natural Science elective must be at least 3 credit hours selected from Biology, Chemistry, Ecology, Geology or Physics. +++Elective-students may select any 3 credit hour BMGT, HRPO, BUSI, MRKG, IBUS, BUSG, or POFT course. ++++Elective - Humanities/Fine Arts elective must be selected from the following: Any Arts (except 1170), Cultural Studies 2370, Dance, Drama (except 1121), English 2321, 2322, 2323, 2326, 2327, 2328, 2331, 2332, 2333, 2342, or 2343, Spanish, French, German, Greek, Japanese, Latin, Portuguese, Humanities, Music (except 9176), Philosophy, Photography, Religion, and American Sign Language.**Students may substitute ACNT 1303, Introduction to Accounting I and ACNT 1304, Introduction to Accounting II. Only three hours may be applied to the required number of hours for granting the degree. NOTE: Students enrolling in this program who plan to transfer to a four year institution should consult an advisor or counselor regarding transfer requirements and the transferability of these courses to the four year institution of their choice. |
