PHED 1124 Beginning Aerobics (1)
This is a Texas Common Course Number. Prerequisite: None. This course emphasizes the development of cardiovascular endurance by utilizing choreographed routines which may combine basic dance patterns with walking, jogging, jumping, etc. Individual fitness levels are accommodated by the intensity of the workout. (3 Lab.)

PHED 1164 Beginning Physical Fitness (1)
This is a Texas Common Course Number. Prerequisite: None. Students are introduced to wellness related concepts and activities for the purpose of gaining knowledge and skills necessary to evaluate personal fitness level and to develop a personal lifelong fitness program. Activities include, but are not limited to: aerobics, circuit training, muscular development, flexibility, agility exercises, weight training and body composition. This course is cross-listed as PHED 1301. The student may register for either PHED 1164 or PHED 1301, but may receive credit for only one of the two. (3 Lab.)
