  • Students pursuing this certificate are waived from the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standards, but must meet course prerequisites.
  • Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by the college awarding the degree.

This sequence is for students who wish to develop skills in managing traffic and networking devices in local area networks (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) services and management. Upon completion, the student will have acquired skills needed to prepare for certification as a Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA).

Prerequisite: Basic understanding of local area networks design and protocols and basic router configuration obtained in ITCC 1402 Local Area Networks Design and Protocols: Cisco I and ITCC 1406 Basic Router Configuration: Cisco 2 or equivalent experiences approved by an Information Technology faculty member.
