Certificate Programs are part of the Career and Technical Program offerings. In order to be awarded a certificate, you must complete all program course requirements with a grade point average of 2.00 ("C") or better. Only the grades for the specific courses required in the certificate program will be used in calculating the GPA to determine eligibility for these awards.

Some certificate programs do not require you to meet  Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standards, but course prerequisite requirements for such certificates must be met. When you seek a TSI waiver based upon participation in one of these certificate programs, you may not enroll in any course other than those required for completing the certificate program requirements. If you attempt other coursework, your TSI waived status will end and you must meet the TSI standards that apply to students not enrolled in a TSI waived certificate program.
