This sequence is for students who wish to develop skills in managing traffic and networking devices in local area networks (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) services and management. Upon completion, the student will have acquired skills needed to prepare for certification as a Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA).
Prerequisite: Basic understanding of personal computers and operating systems as obtained in ITSC 1401 or BCIS 1405 or COSC 1401 or equivalent experiences and basic understanding of local area networks design and protocols and basic router configuration obtained in ITCC 1402 CCNA 1: Networking Basics and ITCC 1406 CCNA 2: Router and Routing Basics or equivalent experiences approved by designated information Technology personnel.
