COMPUTER INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY -- eSERVER APPLICATIONS DEVELOPER

El Centro only

(Certificate)

  • Students pursuing this certificate are waived from the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standards, but must meet course prerequisites.
  • Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by the college awarding the degree.

Degree Plan Code: C1.CIT.ESERV.DEVEL

This one-semester certificate option is designed to provide training primarily for persons with previous computer experiences who want to retrain quickly for applications developer eServer environments.

Graduates will be qualified to enter the eServer environment as an entry-level applications developer or eServer studio developer.

Prerequisite: Basic understanding of personal computers and operating systems, computer terminology, problem solving, and logic structures used with computers as obtained in ITSC 1401 or BCIS 1405 or COSC 1401 and ITSC 2435, as well as a fundamental knowledge of networking as obtained in an introductory networking course, or equivalent experience approved by designated Information Technology personnel.
