INEW 1470 Web Animation and Interactivity (4) This is a WECM Course Number. Prerequisite: Previous programming experience or instructor approval. This course emphasizes developing modular interactive programs using the Object-Oriented Paradigm. Students will learn basic animation techniques, basic human-computer interaction concepts, and introductory interactive programming techniques. Scripting Languages may include ActionScript, Lingo, or other comparable language. (3 Lec., 4 Lab.) |
INEW 2334 Advanced Web Page Programming (3) This is a WECM Course Number. Prerequisite: Intermediate Web page generation skills or instructor approval. Advanced applications for Web authoring. Topics may include Perl Script, Common Gateway Interface (CGI), Database Interaction, Active Server Pages, Java applets, Javascripts, tables, HTML, and/or interactive elements. INEW 2370 Customer Service, Staff Support, and Problem Resolution (3) New course added November 28, 2005 This is a Local Need Course. Prerequisite: None. This course provides the student the opportunity to develop communications skills necessary to interact with clients in all phases of the software development lifecycle. Emphasis is placed upon developing problem-solving techniques and providing appropriate levels of customer service and problem resolution. Students will explore how to best plan for internal staff support and training and will master the complex interactions that occur during the software development release phase between a technology provider, its developers and staff, and the customer. INEW 2371 Web Analytics (3) This is a Local Need Course. Prerequisite: None. This course explores the use of Web monitoring and analysis tools to improve a site functionally, evaluate product and services, promotional campaigns and to effectively personalize site content. INEW 2430 Comprehensive Software Project I: Planning and Design (4) This is a WECM Course Number. Prerequisite: None. A comprehensive application of skills learned in previous courses in a simulated workplace. Covers the development, testing, and documenting of a complete software and/or hardware solution. This course may be used as a capstone course for a certificate or degree. May be combined with Project II when the expected outcomes include completion of the programming life cycle. Students will build/use case models, sequence diagrams, class diagrams and state charts.
