This sequence is for students who wish to prepare for the Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) certification exam. At this apprentice skill level, Oracle Associates have a foundation knowledge that will allow them to act as a junior team member working with database administrators or application developers performing simple, operational tasks on an Oracle database with database software and graphical utilities associated with managing the database.
Prerequisite: Basic understanding of personal computers and operating systems as obtained in ITSC 1401 or BCIS 1405 or COSC 1401 as well as problem solving, logic structures, and relational database concepts as obtained in ITSC 2435, and either ITSW 1307/1407 or ITSE 1346 or equivalent experiences approved by designated Information Technology personnel.
