TECA 1318   Wellness of the Young Child (3)
This is an academic transfer credit course number.
Prerequisite: None.
A study of the factors that impact the well-being of the young child including healthy behavior, food, nutrition, fitness, and safety practices. Focus on local and national standards and legal implications of relevant policies and regulations. Students are required to participate in 15 hours of field experience with children from infancy through age 12 in a variety of settings with varied and diverse populations. Students will be required to submit to and pass a criminal background search as prescribed by the program and college. (3 Lec.)
