ITSC 1456 Solaris Shell Programming (SL) (4) This is a WECM Course Number. Prerequisite: ITSC 1429 or instructor approval. Designed for the student interested in certification. Provides students with the knowledge to read, write, and debug C shell scripts. Includes development of simple scripts to automate frequently executed sequences of commands, and how to use conditional logic, user interaction, loops, and menus to enhance the productivity and effectiveness of the user. This course is intended for programmers who are familiar with the UNIX operating environment and who would like to read and understand various C shell scripts and write their own shell scripts to automate their day-to-day tasks. Licensing/Certification Agency: Sun Microsystems. This course is cross-listed as ITSC 1356. The student may register for either ITSC 1356 or ITSC 1456, but may receive credit for only one of the two.
