AUTOMOTIVE TECHNOLOGY/DIESEL AND HEAVY EQUIPMENT -- HEAVY TRUCKEastfield (see above) only (Associate in Applied Sciences Degree)
Degree Plan Code: AAS.AT.DHE.HVY.TR.01 The Heavy Truck Specialization curriculum is designed to train future technicians in maintaining and repairing heavy trucks. Upon completion of the course work, you may enter the field as an entry-level diesel heavy truck technician, or as a technicians helpers. The Heavy Truck specialization offers the training you will need, and helps develop your potential to reach a supervisory position with truck dealerships, freight companies, contractors, oil and mining industries, and other related fields.

+MATH Option - Any college level (1000 level or above) Math meets the requirement for Math and Natural Science. Any student enrolling in TECM 1341 Technical Algebra must take one Natural Science course selected from the DCCCD approved course list. ++Elective - Any student enrolling in TECM 1341 Technical Algebra must take one Natural Science course selected from the DCCCD approved course list. +++Elective - Must be selected from the DCCCD Humanities/Fine Arts approved course list. ++++Elective - Must be selected from the DCCCD Social/Behavioral Science approved course list. NOTE: Some students enrolling in this program may plan to transfer to four- year institutions.
