The Associate of Arts in Teaching (AAT) degree is a Board-approved collegiate degree program consisting of lower-division courses intended for transfer to baccalaureate programs that lead to initial Texas teacher certification. This plan is for those who are interested in earning certification to teach Early Childhood through Grade 4, including general education, bilingual, and ESL classrooms. This plan is also appropriate for those who wish to teach Grades 4-8 or all levels of Special Education.
