INEW 1340   ASP.Net Programming (3) New course added March 28, 2007
This is a WECM Course Number.
Prerequisite: Programming courses in Visual Basic.NET, Java, C#, or other languages that may apply or instructor approval.
Theory of server side web programming concepts to implement solutions for common web programming tasks. Includes Basic ASP.Net web controls, user management and authentication, state management, and development of database-driven web applications. (2 Lec., 4 Lab.)

INEW 1470   Web Animation and Interactivity (4)
This is a Local Need Course.
Prerequisite: Previous programming experience or instructor approval.
This course emphasizes developing modular interactive programs using the Object-Oriented Paradigm. Students will learn basic animation techniques, basic human-computer interaction concepts, and introductory interactive programming techniques. Scripting Languages may include ActionScript, Lingo, or other comparable language. (3 Lec., 4 Lab.)

Prerequisite: Intermediate Web page generation skills or instructor approval.
Programming for web authoring. Includes industry-standard languages and data stores. This course may be repeated if topics and learning outcomes vary. (2 Lec., 4 Lab.)

This is a WECM Course Number.
Prerequisite: None.
A study of macros used for applications. Topics include analysis of the need for macros in various applications, macro design considerations, and macro coding and implementation. (3 Lec., 4 Lab.)

INEW 2430   Comprehensive Software Project I: Planning and Design (4)
This is a WECM Course Number.
Prerequisite: None.
A comprehensive application of skills learned in previous courses in a simulated workplace. Covers the development, testing, and documenting of a complete software and/or hardware solution. This course may be used as a capstone course for a certificate or degree. May be combined with Project II when the expected outcomes include completion of the programming life cycle. (3 Lec., 4 Lab.)

Prerequisite: None.
A comprehensive application of skills learned in previous semesters in a simulated workplace. Course covers the coding, testing, and documentation of a complete software and/or hardware solution. This course may be used as a capstone course for a certificate or degree. (3 Lec., 4 Lab.)

INEW 2436   Computer Program Maintenance and Conversion (4)
This is a WECM Course Number.
Prerequisite: Intermediate programming skills or instructor approval.
A comprehensive applications of skills learned in prior computer programming classes. Demonstration of debugging skills, program augmentation, and translation of complex programs in a supervised laboratory environment. (3 Lec., 4 Lab.)

INEW 2438   Advanced JAVA Programming (4)
This is a WECM Course Number.
Prerequisite: ITSE 2417 or instructor approval.
A continuation of advanced JAVA programming techniques such as servlets and advanced graphical functions. (3 Lec., 4 Lab.)

INEW 2440   Object Oriented Design (4)
This is a WECM Course Number.
Prerequisite: None.
Large system analysis and design concepts from the object-oriented perspective. Students will build/use case models, sequence diagrams, class diagrams and state charts. Topics will include determining what objects will be required, what members an object requires, and relationships between objects. (3 Lec., 4 Lab.)
