CDEC 1417 Child Development Associate Training I (4) New course added May 7, 2007 This is a WECM Course Number. Prerequisite: None. Corequisite: Students will be required to submit to and pass a criminal background search by the certification date as prescribed by the program and college. Failure to comply will result in the student being dropped from the course. Based on the requirements for the Child Development Associate National Credential (CDA). Topics on CDA overview, general observation skills, and child growth and development overview. The four functional areas of study are creative, cognitive, physical, and communication.
