EMSP 1501 Emergency Medical Technician-Basic (5) This is a WECM Course Number. Prerequisite: (1) Current BCLS (CPR) certification at the Health Care Provider level by the American Heart Association or equivalent, (2) Demonstrated competency in math, reading, and writing. Corequisite: Concurrent enrollment in co-requisite course EMSP 1160. Introduction to the level of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) - Basic. Includes all the skills necessary to provide emergency medical care at a basic life support level with ambulance services or other specialized services. (2 Lec., 9 Lab.) |
