EDUC 1301   Introduction to the Teaching Profession (3)
This is a Texas Common Course Number.
Prerequisite: Developmental Reading 0093 or English as a Second Language (ESOL) 0044 or have met the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standard in Reading.
Corequisite: Students will be required to submit to and pass a criminal background search as prescribed by the program and college.
An enriched integrated pre-service course and content experience for students interested in a teaching career. This courses is an introduction to and analysis of the culture of schooling and classrooms. Lab provides the student with opportunities to participate in 30 hours of early field observations at all levels of P-12 school with varied and diverse student populations. (2 Lec., 2 Lab.)
