HPRS 1204 Basic Health Profession Skills (2)
This is a WECM Course Number. Prerequisite: None. A study of the concepts that serve as the foundation for health profession courses, including client care and safety issues, basic client monitoring, and health documentation methods. Basic skills such as vital signs, phlebotomy, catherization, sterile and aseptic technique, pulse oximetry are taught and required to be demonstrated by the student and integrated with critical thinking skills. Medical terminology is included. (1 Lec., 3 Lab.)
