SRGT 1343 Perioperative Nursing II (3)
This is a WECM Course Number.
Prerequisite: A minimum "C" grade or better in Perioperative Nursing I (SRGT 1340) and Practicum (SRGT 1167). Concurrent enrollment in Practicum (SRGT 2366).
Expansion of the principles and skills learned in Perioperative Nursing I. Included are specific patient preparations and care for given surgical procedures; wound healing; complications of surgical interventions; and pre- and post-operative visits. Selected surgical procedures will incorporate all human body systems. The circulating role is emphasized. (3 Lec.)
