PHYS 1311   Descriptive Astronomy (3)
This is a Texas Common Course Number.
Prerequisite: None.
This course surveys the fundamentals of astronomy. Emphasis is on the solar system. Included is the study of the celestial sphere, the earth's motions, the moon, planets, asteroids, comets, meteors, and meteorites. This course is cross-listed as Physics 1411. The student may register for either Physics 1311 or Physics 1411, but may receive credit for only one of the two. (3 Lec.)
