Basic router configuration for local area networks. Includes initial router configuration for TCP/IP; management of IOS and router configuration files, routing protocols, and access control lists. (2 Lec., 4 Lab.)

Prerequisite: Prior networking course, networking experience or instructor approval.
Introduces the physical aspects of CISCO voice and data network cabling and installation; skills development in reading network design documentation, part list setup and purchase, pulling and mounting cable, cable management, choosing wiring closets and patch panel installation and termination, installing jacks and testing cable.
