EDTC 1370 Game Based Learning K-12 (3) New course added July 10, 2007 This is a Local Need Course. Prerequisite: None. This course will cover how game technology can be used to enhance learning in today's K-12 classrooms. Students will learn to identify how games teach and why they work by analyzing examples and case studies of game-based instruction. Topics include learning strategies, evaluation of both commercial games in an educational setting and also games that have been specifically created with educational objectives, and the creation of a design plan for a digital game to be used in the classroom.
