JAPN 1312 Beginning Japanese II (3)
This is a Texas Common Course Number. Prerequisite: JAPN 1311 or the equivalent or demonstrated competence approved by the instructor. This is the second semester of academic transfer Japanese. It continues the oral practice, reading, writing, grammar and cultural studies begun in JAPN 1311. Students are expected to acquire a substantial amount of vocabulary and begin to deal with idiomatic language and more advanced syntax. This course is cross-listed as JAPN 1412 but is used only in Study Abroad programs. Students may register for either JAPN 1312 or JAPN 1412 but may receive credit for only one of the two.
