RESIDENTIAL BUILDING PERFORMANCE TECHNOLOGY - RATER

Cedar Valley only

(Level 1 Certificate)

  • Students pursuing this certificate are waived from the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standards, but must meet course prerequisites.
  • Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by the college awarding the degree.

Degree Plan Code: C1.RBPT.RATER

The Rater Certificate prepares students for careers as residential energy conservation code officials, home energy raters, and residential green raters and verifiers. The program uses a systems approach to evaluate and score the health, safety, comfort, durability, environmental quality, and energy efficiency of a home.
