Basic concepts of voice over internet protocol (VoIP). Focuses on technology integration of and data transmission in network communications. (2 Lec., 4 Lab.)

Prerequisite: Prior networking course, networking experience or instructor approval.
Introduces the physical aspects of CISCO voice and data network cabling and installation; skills development in reading network design documentation, part list setup and purchase, pulling and mounting cable, cable management, choosing wiring closets and patch panel installation and termination, installing jacks and testing cable. Licensing/Certification Agency: Cisco Corporation. This course may be repeated if topics and learning outcomes vary. (2 Lec., 4 Lab.)
