EDTC 1307 Introduction to Teaching Reading (3)
This is a WECM Course Number. Corequisite/Concurrent: Students will be required to submit to and pass a criminal background search as prescribed by the program and college. Fundamental concepts and principles of reading instruction. Topics include readiness, beginning reading instruction, how literacy emerges, classroom learning environments, word-attach skills, study skills, comprehension, other aspects of the reading program, and examination of varied materials and techniques for teaching reading.
