Prerequisite: Developmental Reading 0093 or English as a Second Language (ESOL) 0044 or have met the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standard in Reading.
This course is for non-science majors and introduces the principles of physics. Emphasis is on modern developments in physics. Topics include mechanical waves and acoustics, electricity and magnetism, light and the electromagnetic spectrum, atomic and nuclear physics, and relativity. (3 Lec., 3 Lab.)
