CHEM 1407 Introductory Chemistry II (4)
This is a Texas Common Course Number. Prerequisite: Chemistry 1405. Developmental Reading 0093 or English as a Second Language (ESOL) 0044 or have met the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standard in Reading. This course is for non-science majors. It surveys organic chemistry and biochemistry. The reactions, syntheses, nomenclature, uses, purposes and properties of the important classes of organic and biochemical compounds are studied.
