  • Students pursuing this certificate are waived from the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standards, but must meet course prerequisites.
  • Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by the college awarding the degree.

This award consists of the 4 field of study courses officially approved for students who wish to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Sciences or a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Child and Family Studies/Child Development to become an Early Childhood teacher (Grades PreK-4). Receiving institutions are not required to accept a grade below "C" in transfer.
