VTHT 1321   Equine Reproduction (3)
This is a WECM Course Number.
Prerequisite: Instructor approval. Introduction to common reproductive management techniques of equine reproduction including natural and artificial insemination.
Emphasis on practical reproductive techniques in laboratory settings. The student will demonstrate knowledge of mare and stallion reproductive anatomy and physiology; perform handling techniques for and management of brood mares and stallions; and implement artificial insemination and natural breeding programs. (2 Lec., 3 Lab.)


Academic Courses
Designated by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board for transfer among community colleges and state public four year colleges and universities as freshman and sophomore general education courses.

WECM Courses
