EDUC 1325 Principles and Practices of Multicultural Education (3)
This is a Texas Common Course Number. Prerequisite: None. Developmental Reading 0093 or English as a Second Language (ESOL) 0044 or have met the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standard in Reading. An examination of cultural diversity found in society and reflected in the classroom. Topics will include the study of major cultures and their influence on lifestyle, behavior, learning, intercultural communication and teaching, as well as psychosocial stressors encountered by diverse cultural groups. (3 Lec.)
