TECA 1303   Families, School and Community (3)
This is an Academic Transfer Credit Course Number.
Prerequisite: An appropriate assessment score.
Corequisite/Concurrent: Students will be required to submit to and pass a criminal background search as prescribed by the program and college.
A study of the child, family, community and school, including parent education and involvement, family and community lifestyles, child abuse, and current family life issues. Students are required to participate in 16 hours of field experiences with children from infancy through age 12 in a variety of settings with varied and diverse populations. Course content is aligned with State Board for Educator Certification Pedagogy and Professional Responsiblities Standards. (3 Lec.)
