PHYS 1312 General Astronomy (3)
This is a Texas Common Course Number. Stellar astronomy is emphasized. Topics include a study of the sun, the properties of stars, star clusters, nebulae, interstellar gas and dust, the Milky Way Galaxy, and external galaxies. This course is cross-listed as Physics 1412. The student may register for either Physics 1312 or Physics 1412, but may receive credit for only one of the two. (3 Lec.)
