NANO 1301 Introduction to Nanotechnology (3)

NANO 1303 Nanotechnology Safety (3)
This is a WECM Course Number. Prerequisite: NANO 1301. Safe handling of nanomaterials. Focuses on safety, regulations, and proper materials handling. (3 Lec.)

NANO 2150 Nanotechnology Seminar (3)
This is a WECM Course Number. Prerequisite: Credit in or concurrent enrollment with NANO 2486. Addresses, events, skills, knowledge and/or behaviors related to the practice environment. Includes application of didactic coursework to the technician's lab and integration into the workplace through the internship program. (1 Lec.)

NANO 2325 Nanotechnology Materials (3)
This is a WECM Course Number. Prerequisite: NANO 1303. Examination of basic nanomaterials, nanostructures, and processes used in nanotechnology including nanotubes, nanorods, colloids, dots, clusters, wires, platelets, shells, and films. (2 Lec., 4 Lab.)

NANO 2326 Nanotechniques and Instrumentation (3)
This is a WECM Course Number. Prerequisite: NANO 2325. Application of nanotechniques and instrumentation to both process nanomaterials and to build and characterize nanodevices. Includes a team project to design, build, and/or characterize a nanodevice. Emphasizes repair of selected equipment used in nanotechnology. (2 Lec., 4 Lab.)

NANO 2370 Industrial Nanotechnology Applications (3)
This is a Local Need Course. Prerequisite: BIOL 2420 OR BIOL 2421 AND NANO 2326. A simulated work-based learning experience that enables the student to apply specialized theory, skills, and concepts related to nanotechnology materials, nanotechniques, and instrumentation. (2 Lec., 2 Lab.)

NANO 2486 Internship - Nanotechnology (3)
This is a WECM Course Number. Prerequisite: Credit in or concurrent enrollment with NANO 2150. A work-based learning experience that enables the student to apply specialized occupational theory, skills and concepts. A learning plan is developed by the college and the employer. (20 Ext.)
