EMSP 2544 Cardiology (5)
This is a WECM Course Number.
Prerequisite: (1) Completion of Department of State Health Services approved Emergency Medical Technician Course, or certification by Completion of Department of State Health Services or National Registry of EMT's as Emergency Medical Technician, (2) current CPR certification as health care provider, (3) demonstrated competency in math and reading, and (4) Anatomy and Physiology for Paramedics course or equivalency.
Assessment and management of patients with cardiac emergencies. Includes single and multi-lead ECG interpretation. This course is cross-listed as EMSP 2444. The student may register for either EMSP 2444 or EMSP 2544, but may receive credit for only one of the two. (5 Lec., 1 Lab.)
