ELTN 1472 Electrical Construction III (4)
This is a Local Need Course. This course will cover alternating current circuits, terminology, characteristics and components. AC circuits components will include inductance, inductive reactance, capacitance, capacitive reactance, impedance, and power factor. Also including AC circuit calculations. Various types of sketching and drawing are covered in this lesson before going on to the study of small commercial blueprints and installations. Special construction situations are covered in motor drives, rigging, fastening devices, safety, electrical shock, and safety for electrical shock. The electrical testing part of the course will cover rectifiers, DC meters, and AC meters. Information on parliamentary procedures and conducting a meeting are also covered. (3 Lec. 3 Lab.)
