This is a WECM Course Number. Engineering video productions including the basic alignment/adjustment of cameras, test equipment, storage devices, and other studio equipment. RTVB 1371 Television Lighting (3)
This is a Local Need Course. Prerequisite: RTVB 1305, concurrent enrollment in RTVB 1305 or with approval from instructor. This course introduces students to the theory and application of lighting for television production. Topics include basic lighting equipment for studio and location productions and the application of lighting to a variety of production environments. Choices of color, angle, intensity, distribution, and the proper use of lighting control scrim, screens, and gels are emphasized. (2 Lec., 3 Lab.)
RTVB 1380 Cooperative Education - Radio and Television (3)
This is a WECM Course Number. Career related activities encountered in the students area of specialization are offered through a cooperative agreement between the college, employer, and student. Under supervision of the college and the employer, the student combines classroom learning with work experience. RTVB 2370 Business Aspects of Video Technology (3)
This is a Local Need Course. This general business course for video stresses personnel management, production budgeting, staffing, decision-making, portfolio/resume development, interviewing techniques, site selection, contract law, and copyright management. Use of legal and financial advisors with a variety of business topics related to production companies, use of post houses, professional organizations, taxes, insurance, entrepreneurship, distribution, marketing, and sales will be discussed in depth. RTVB 2382 Cooperative Education - Radio and Television Broadcasting Technology/Technician (3)
This is a WECM Course Number. Prerequisite: Completion of at least 12 hours of Video Technology courses. The student should secure an internship position in the industry prior to enrolling.
