SLNG 2411 Interpreting in Specialized Settings (4)
This is a WECM Course Number.
Prerequisite: SLNG 1321, SLNG 1345, and SLNG 1445. Concurrent enrollment: SLNG 2301, SLNG 2302 and SPCH 1342.
A focus on interpreting/transliterating with special populations (e.g. deaf/blind, high visual, oral) in special settings (e.g. religious, artistic, medical, legal, mental health). Reinforce basic theories and techniques in relation to the special population(s) and/or settings. (3 Lec., 2 Lab.)
