This is a WECM Course Number. A study of marketing, sales techniques, promotions, and advertising theories as applied to the travel and tourism industry. Coverage of the marketing mix in travel, market segmentation, market planning, and the use of advertising and other communication techniques. Emphasis on buyer motivation, telephone sales techniques, profitable travel counseling, and the use of promotional material in selling travel. (3 Lec.) |
