Beginning Latin I
This is a Texas Common Course Number. This is a DCCCD Core Curriculum Course.
Course Description: This is the first semester of academic transfer Latin. This course is an introductory course intended for students with little or no knowledge of the language. Its aim is to present essential vocabulary and grammar, and to develop the skills necessary for reading of easy prose. Customs and cultural insights are also presented. (3 Lec., 2 Lab.)

Beginning Latin II
This is a Texas Common Course Number. This is a DCCCD Core Curriculum Course. Prerequisite: LATI 1411 or the equivalent or demonstrated competence approved by the instructor.
Course Description: This is the second semester of academic transfer Latin. This course continues the reading, writing, grammar and cultural studies begun in LATI 1411. Students are expected to acquire a substantial amount of vocabulary and begin to deal with idiomatic language and more advanced syntax. (3 Lec., 2 Lab.)

Intermediate Latin I
This is a Texas Common Course Number. This is a DCCCD Core Curriculum Course. Prerequisite: LATI 1412 or the equivalent or demonstrated competence approved by the instructor.
Course Description: This is the third semester of academic transfer Latin. This course is designed to further develop students’ overall language proficiency and cultural knowledge through more advanced readings. Grammatical concepts are reviewed and expanded. Review of grammar and readings in Roman literary works. (3 Lec.)

Intermediate Latin II
This is a Texas Common Course Number. This is a DCCCD Core Curriculum Course. Prerequisite: LATI 2311 or the equivalent or demonstrated competence approved by the instructor.
Course Description: This is the fourth semester of academic transfer Latin. This course is a continuation of LATI 2311. The stress is on reading, grammatical and syntactical complexities, with continued studies of the culture. Review of grammar and readings in Roman literary works. (3 Lec.)
