EECT 1307 (3 Credit Hours)

Convergence Technologies
This is a WECM Course Number.
Course Description: A study of telecommunications convergence technologies including telephone, LAN, WAN, wireless, voice, video, and internet protocol. This course is cross-listed as EECT 1407. The student may register for either EECT 1307 or EECT 1407, but may receive credit for only one of the two. (2 Lec., 4 Lab.)

Course Description: Fundamentals of telecommunications media, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Topics address media characteristics and connectorization. (3 Lec., 4 Lab.)

EECT 2337 (3 Credit Hours)
Offered at BHC, EFC, ECC, MVC, NLC, RLC.

Wireless Telephony Systems
This is a WECM Course Number.
Prerequisite: EECT 1403 or EECT 1307 or EECT 1407.
Course Description: Principles of wireless/cellular telephony systems to include call processing, hand-off, site analysis, antenna radiation patterns, commonly used test/maintenance equipment and access protocol. This course is cross-listed as EECT 2437. The student may register for either EECT 2337 or EECT 2437, but may receive credit for only one of the two. (2 Lec., 4 Lab.)
