News Gathering and Writing I
This is a Texas Common Course Number.
Prerequisite: Typing ability.
Course Description: This course focuses upon recognizing newsworthy events, gathering information and writing the straight news story. It provides a basis for future study in newspaper and magazine writing, advertising, broadcast journalism and public relations. Students are required to write for the campus newspaper. (2 Lec., 3 Lab.)
