Consumer Economics
This is a Texas Common Course Number. This is a DCCCD Core Curriculum Course. Prerequisite: Developmental Reading 0093 or English as a Second Language (ESOL) 0044 or have met the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) standard in Reading.
Course Description: This course will introduce basic economic concepts and apply these concepts to issues faced by individuals and households in today''s economy. Areas of study will include productive employment, money management, taxes, saving and investment, credit and interest rates, inflation, health care and government regulation. This course may also serve as preparation for Economics 2301 and Economics 2302. (3 Lec.)
