Emphasis Degrees
Degree Code: AA.AABS This degree plan is designed to meet the needs of students who plan to transfer to a four-year college/university. Students planning to continue their African American/Black Studies as a transfer student should check specific requirements at the transfer institution. This plan may not satisfy all the requirements of a specific transfer four-year college/university. In order to be eligible to receive this AA degree, a student must:
*NOTE: When the courses are available, it is strongly recommended that students take the following required Core Curriculum courses (see asterisks) that have the AABS designation. This will enhance student knowledge in the area of African American/Black Studies. Please refer to the current schedule of classes for listings.
