Environmental Science II
This is a Texas Common course Number. This is a DCCCD Core Curriculum Course.
Prerequisite: ENVR 1401. One of the following must be met: (1) Developmental Reading 0093 or (2) English as a Second Language (ESOL) 0044 or (3) have met the Texas Success Initiative (TSI) Reading and Writing standards.
Course Description: Continued interdisciplinary study of both natural (biology, chemistry, geology) and social (economics, politics, ethics) as they apply to the environment. Focus on energy issues, global warming, ozone loss, land use, conservation and management, deforestation, biodiversity, the history of environmental law and regulation and local environmental problems. (3 Lec., 3 Lab.)
