Beginning Latin II
This is a Texas Common Course Number. This is a DCCCD Core Curriculum Course. Prerequisite: LATI 1411 or the equivalent or demonstrated competence approved by the instructor.
Course Description: This is the second semester of academic transfer Latin. It continues the reading, writing, grammar and cultural studies begun in LATI 1411. Emphasis is on the value of Latin as a background for the study of English and modern foreign languages. Students are expected to acquire a substantial amount of vocabulary and begin to deal with idiomatic language and more advanced syntax. This course is cross-listed as LATI 1312, which is also used in Study Abroad programs. Students may register for either LATI 1312 or LATI 1412 but may receive credit for only one of the two. (3 Lec., 2 Lab.)
