Beginning Arabic II
This is a Texas Common Course Number. This is a DCCCD Core Curriculum Course. Prerequisite: ARAB 1311 or the equivalent or demonstrated competence approved by the instructor.
Course Description: This is the second semester of academic transfer Arabic. It continues the oral practice, reading, writing, grammar and cultural studies begun in ARAB 1311. Students are expected to acquire a substantial amount of vocabulary and begin to deal with idiomatic language and more advanced syntax. This course is cross-listed as ARAB 1412 but is used only in Study Abroad programs. Students may register for either ARAB 1312 or ARAB 1412 but may receive credit for only one of the two. (3 Lec., 1 Lab.)
